We are thrilled to announce that the Union Christian College team from the School of Business Sciences department has demonstrated exceptional performance and innovation at the 16th San Fernando ICT Summit on April 18, 2024, at J&V Hotel and Resort, City of San Fernando, La Union.

In the 6th EGov Awards, our team clinched 1st Place with their entry, “Optimizing Healthcare Management with Machine Learning Integration.” This victory was made possible through the expertise and guidance of Sir Amor Vincent Canono, with significant contributions from team members Gabrielle Anne Peralta (BSIS2), Vincent Faustino (BSCS2), and Jose Karlo Malaya Baguidudol (BSCS1).

Our talented students also shone in the 2nd San Fernando Startup Challenge. Guided by Ma’am Rhina Jaramilla, the team presented the “Ayan-mon, La Union 4-Wheel PUV Transportation Optimizer” and proudly reached the finals. This team was comprised of Vincent Faustino (BSCS2), Yvonne Tanyag (BSCS4), and Gabrielle Anne Peralta (BSIS2), with special recognition to Ayan Mon for their crucial involvement in the project.

We are also proud of our first-year Computer Science and Information Systems students, Anna Trixie Alfon, Carol Mendoza, Drexcel Sabado, Redalyn Villanueva, and Justin Rae Premian, who participated in the summit. Their enthusiasm and dedication have been fueled by the insights gained at the summit, and they are eager to contribute to next year’s challenges.
