A 6th GRADER AMAZES THE UCC ACADEMIC COMMUNITY IN HIS RESEARCH-BASED SERVICE LEARNING ACTIVITY, FACES THE PANEL OF EVALUATORS

In the annual selection of the College of its Institutional Awards in Research and Service-Learning, today, May 13, the members of the examination committee composed of Dr. Juan Primitivo P. Petrola of the Commission on Higher Education-Regional Office 1, Dr. Glenn A. Guira of Lussoc National High School, Schools Division Office of Ilocos Sur, and Professor Caroline Balmes of the Trinity University of Asia in Quezon City were left amazed after MARK ZEDRICK A. DUMAGUIN, a Grade 6 pupil confidently and comfortably shared his experiences in his service-learning engagement about earthquake preparedness.
The members of the academic community likewise were surprised and felt proud for having a Grade 6 learner joining an academic exercise on research, where the audience are all tertiary learners, teachers, and professors.
The evaluators sang the same line that for the “first time in their paneling they are seeing a 6th grader face an adult audience.”
CONGRATULATIONS, ZEDRICK AND TO YOUR PROUD TEACHERS AND PARENTS.
