It came as a surprise and a moment of celebration to everyone as a momentary silence cut off the cheering crowd as if digesting the announcement. Following was a round blast of claps as Mr. Hipol from the UCC School of Health Sciences and a MAN graduate walked to the stage to receive the award. Four faculty and graduate researchers represented UCC at the 12th ICOPH , namely Ms. Roxanne B Ebueza, Ms. Dorothy Anne Laureta, Ms. Paula Ione Fisher-Franco, and Mr. @Ralph Allan Hipol. This delegation is a continuing celebration of the UCC-TIIKM partnership, and the conference a platform for the researchers to fulfill CMO 21, s. 2025. "We are thankful, Sir, and to the UCC administration for the pushes made for us to present in the international community. D lang namin napresent iyong aming mga research, narinig ang feedback kung paano pa i-improve, at nakakuha ng mga insigts in advancing academic inquiry in public health," said the faculty delegates during their sharing about their presentations. The delegation participated in various activities, such as preparing a networking table where researchers and academicians from different countries inquired about the College and participating in various technical sessions where scientific findings about public health across at least 35 countries were presented. The closing ceremony ended as a celebration of a renewed commitment and inspiration to the researchers as they made a record of placing UCC as the overall best oral presenter through Mr. Hipol's output. "Ano kayang susunod na aralin?" the rest of the team laughingly said while still digesting the surprise. "Winning is not the end game but a challenge of commitment to uphold the standards of academic integrity to contribute evidence-based knowledge useful to the community," remarked Prof. Teofilo Damoco, the delegation head and UCC Coordinator to the Conference.
